Turkish citizens traveling to international destinations have to pay an exit fee per head. Turkish citizens who are traveling to TRNC with ID; or residing abroad in any country (as from the date of departure); or under the age of 7; or staff/ crew of freight/passenger-carrying commercial vehicles are exempt from this fee (Law No. 5597 dated 8/3/2007).
If you will travel to TRNC with your passport, please make sure you have paid the exit fee to a bank personally or online. Please note that drivers of the vehicles on board must travel with passports.
